Style Inspiration – Kate Lanphear

Style Inspiration – Kate Lanphear

US Elle editor Kate Lanphear is one of my latest style inspirations.  Her palette of grey, black and white is a neutral master piece.  Her bleached out mane makes me miss my own bleach bob that I had to say goodbye to when I chose to let my locks grow long. Kate, in my opinion, is the epitome of effortless cool.

Hillsboro Village Shopping Trip

The other day I took my family who were visiting from out of town shopping in Hillsboro Village.  It was the perfect day for coffee at Fido followed by visits to all the lovely boutiques in the area.

Local Honey Opening

Local Honey Opening

Local Honey had their Grand Opening in their new space on Belmont and I was there with camera in hand to capture some moments from the night.  The space is beautiful and filled with some kick ass collections of clothing and accessories.   If you get a chance stop by the store and check it out.

Street Style – nD Festival benefiting the Belcourt Theatre

The nD Festival benefiting the Belcourt Theatre was a week filled of fantastic events.  Mizzie and I had a great time and wanted to share a few photo highlights with you from the events we were able to attend.

Whiskey & Wine Wednesday at H. Audrey & Billy Reid

I know I have a jacket obsession, but we were all in agreement that this plaid jacket at H. Audrey is pretty amazing.   And we all loved this gorgeous scarf at Billy Reid

The EnD Fashion Show

I had a camera malfunction on Sunday which was a huge bummer, because there were so many super stylish people at the Belcourt that night for the fashion show.
Mizzie & I would like to send a special thank you out to Aria from Parlour Vintage and Bits and Baubles who let us use her photos for our Street Style report.  Thanks Aria!!

One of our favorite Nashville designers, Amanda Valentine, who was also one of the models for Alabama Chanin.

At left is Libby Callaway, nD Fashion Chair, owner of Diamond Star Halo Vintage and all around fab gal.

Me and Amber from Nashville Fashion Blog
(from the Project Artisan website)

The Fashion Show featuring Imogene + Willie, Billy Reid and Alabama Chanin was fantastic.  Take a few minutes to download and watch the videos for each featured designer, which you can find on the Project Artisan blog.  They are beautiful and truly capture the aesthetics that make each of these designers so special.  Everyone walked out of that theatre beaming with pride for these amazingly creative and talented designers who are basically in our backyards.  It was a fabulous night and week for the Nashville Film and Fashion Community.  Mizzie and I can’t wait for next year!

Street Style – Casino Couture benefiting The Mary Parrish Foundation

We loved this vintage 1940s LBD.

Sassy ladies…Sierra from The Lookbook; Marcia from iCR8; Hillary from Urban Outfitters and Carla

Thanks to the lovely ladies at FabGlance for this pic of Marcia, Carla, Hillary & Mizzie.

Party shoes!

Clothing designer, Melissa Tabor, in one of her own designs.  We really loved this dress and ended up kind of stalking her in order to get this photo.  Sorry about that Melissa.
Thanks to the Little Black Dress Club and Kia Jarmon from the MEPR Agency for hosting a fabulous 60′s Casino Night to benefit the Mary Parrish Foundation.
We had a groovy time! ;)
