I met the love of my life on the eve of Valentine’s Day nearly a decade ago…. pretty romantic, right?
I am thankful each and every day that I get to spend with (arguably) the most devoted, honest, and loving fella on this planet.
Chico was adopted when he was three years old from the St. Louis Humane Association and my life has never been the same since. From never leaving my side when I was struggling with my own personal and physical battles to all the joy and laughter that he has brought into my life, Chico is the man.
I must also give him credit for being my muse in opting to lead a compassionate lifestyle of veganism, being a voice for animal welfare and rights, and for just opening my heart that love does really exist.
As he ages and his congestive heart failure advances, I am sad but I understand more than ever how important it is to take care of our furry friends.
Senior dogs are pretty damn fabulous, thank you very much!

Thanks Marcia! We just had a guy in who adopted a 6 year old black lab named Lilly. I asked him who picked who and he said, “She picked me & that was that!” So great. He got an amethyst necklace and we were so happy to give it to him! xx, jb
YAY!!
This makes me so very happy to hear… especially black dogs have a harder time get adopted too. Lilly sounds like she has a fabulous forever home just in time for V-Day. Thanks for all that YOU do for the animals Judith! They sure are lucky to have you around.
